Why do we recommend acrylic protection screens vs. glass screens?

Sneeze guards are manufactured in glass or acrylic. Here are our top 7 reasons why we prefer acrylic over glass for this purpose.

  1. Acrylic screens are transparent, just like glass, yet are lightweight
  2. Because of their lighter weight, they are less likely to shatter
  3. They are easier to move & store
  4. Acrylic can be easily cut, shaped and drilled to meet specific requirements
  5. Great for temporary situations and locations
  6. Acrylic screens are cost-effective compared to glass screens
  7. They are easier and cheaper to ship

How to look after your screens: Cleaning & Maintenance

  • Wipe down the screen with warm water water & a mild detergent with a sponge and finish with a  lint-free cloth (cotton or microfiber cloths are ideal). Use a small amount of dish washing detergent – avoid using too much as you don’t want much foam
  • Alternately you can use an Isopropyl alcohol product (commonly found in sanitiser) or mentholated spirits and a soft lint-free cloth to clean your screens
  • Wiping the screen without a wetting agent (dry) may cause scratches on the surface
  • Use a ‘VuPlex Clean & Polish Kit’ to reduce and small scratches
  •  Make sure your screen is steady/secure before cleaning (laying it down if necessary) for OH &S. Mishandling may result in damage to the screen.
